(York, NE) -- The Upper Big Blue Natural Resources District Board of Directors has approved the fiscal year 2026 property tax request following a public hearing held September 18, 2025. The approved request sets the property tax rate at $0.017861 per $100.00 of assessed value, totaling $3.6 million for the general fund. The Upper Big Blue NRD's operating budget will increase 0.44-percent from last year's proposed budget.
This funding will help ensure the District can continue to provide programs and services that protect natural resources and support local communities.
Community members had the opportunity to share comments and ask questions during the public hearing before the Board voted to approve the request.
